The fourth Sunday of March is traditionally Maine Maple Sugar Days.  Some of the small Maple Syrup producers hold “Open Houses” to the general public to show people how Maple Syrup is made, and they give out free samples of maple syrup over vanilla ice cream.  Of course, they are trying to sell their syrup and maple candies, and everyone has a good time!

We love REAL maple syrup, and enjoy going to a local sugar house to see the demonstrations and taste the free samples!

I have a lot of friends who claim to be “poor.”  I think that they just have their priorities mixed up.  When they call me up to say hello they cry to me about how poor they are, but they are really living “high on the hog” and simply need to take a look at (and change) their priorities. 

I hear from them about how broke they are, and they are feeling so sorry for themselves because they just had to pay a car payment on their big expensive luxury car.  And they are poor because they just bought a luxury townhouse condominium in the “rich” part of town and have to pay the mortgage on it.  And they spend so much money on food because they eat every meal out in a restaurant!  And then they come crying to me because the electric company wants them to pay their electric bill!   And the next thing I hear, they have just come back from a month-long luxury vacation cruise!  And yet, they are always telling me “money is tight!”

It makes me sick just thinking about it!

I think there is nothing as silly looking as an old man driving a sports car.  Today I was driving home from running errands and saw an old man driving a convertible sports car with the top down.  I wanted to shout at him “You look very silly, old man!”

But, that would be very rude of me!  So I just shook my head and kept quiet!

When I see an old man driving a sports car like that, it makes me think that he is trying to feel young and sexy.  I guess there is nothing wrong with that, but I think it makes them look desperate and sad.  Like old women in mini-skirts and plunging necklines look desperate and sad!

I wonder if John Deere made riding vacuum cleaners, with zero turning radius, if men would vacuum the house more often?  Of course, they would have to be painted John Deere Green!

I noticed that my posts are being aggregated on other people’s blogs and websites and was upset because it appears that the people are taking my posts and putting ads on the sides of them to make money. I think it is not right that people would do such things unless they have permission to do so!
