Lawsuit funding

I’ve heard that our friends that we will be eating with later today have been involved in a lawsuit.  The hubby was involved in an accident that was not his fault, and he has been out of work for a year now.  They are running low on funds, so I am going to be prepared with notes that I’m going to take with me to make some recommendations to them if the conversation topic goes in that direction.  I’m going to recommend that they check out how to fund their lawsuit through this lawsuit fuding site that I found at www.lawsuitfunding.com.  That website should be able to help them out.

Having lunch with an old friend today

About one o’clock this afternoon my hubby & I are going to be having lunch with some friends that we haven’t seen in a few years.  We’re planning to go to the Governor’s Restaurant.  My hubby likes the Governor’s Restaurant; they have good food and he likes to watch the toy trains that run around the tops of the walls near the ceiling.  My mother-in-law has agreed to watch our baby for us while we go out; it’s nap time then anyway, so that will work out well for everyone involved!  I’m looking forward to the meal out, I always like to have a slice of pie for dessert that I’ve picked out from their revolving glass case.  If I’m too full for dessert, I’ll bring a slice home with me, they are too yummy to just pass up!

My car has been seized!

Well, so much for trusting my brother and his friends to go to New York in my car and have fun and stay out of trouble!  Once they got to New York City, they found themselves involved in a police sting for soliciting a prostitute, and as part of that process my car ended up being seized by the police!

Unbelievable!  My brother called me from New York to give me the bad news; I don’t know yet how long it will be before I can get my car back.  My brother claims all he did was sit in the car; he didn’t say a word to anyone!  Anyway, he says he has hired the best New York prostitution attorney he could find to defend him against the charge and to get my car back for me.

His attorney, Michael Palumbo, works for the law firm Palumbo& Associates, P.C. in New York and he says that they specialize in vice crimes defenses.  He says that Mr. Palumbo thinks that he will be able to get him out of trouble by claiming “entrapment” and that I’ll be able to get my car back.  They just don’t know how soon I’ll be able to get my car back.  My brother says that Mr. Palumbo used to be a police officer, so he knows the law from both sides.

I told him that if I don’t get my car back, he is going to have to buy me a new one, and I don’t care if he has to work three jobs to pay for it!  My car is only six months old, and it cost me a pretty penny!  I can’t believe that I was naive enough to let him borrow it for a New York weekend and it ended up being seized in a prostitution sting!
