Case for hubby’s iphone

I’m planning on buying a new iphone for my hubby for a Father’s Day gift.  His old one is very scratched and beaten up from being carelessly cared for – tossed on the dresser top at night, dropped on the floor from time to time.  I’m also going to buy an invisibleSHIELD iphone case to put on the new iphone to keep it in like new condition for a long time.  The case is made of a military grade material that has a lifetime guarantee not to break or scratch, and is very lightweight and thin – only 2mm thick!  I’m sure he’ll be thrilled!

Black snake startled me this afternoon

This afternoon I was outside, getting my garden ready for the season. I was raking out the leaves and pulling weeds, clearing out the dead growth. I was startled by a sudden movement under the leaves that I was reaching for – a large black snake trying to get out of my way! I’m not afraid of snakes, there aren’t any poisonous ones in the state, but just the unexpected movement when I was reaching towards where it was kinda jumped me! I guess he was just as startled as I was! I’ll have to remember to be a little bit more cautious in the future in the garden – you never know what you’ll find out there!

The boss’s daughter likes to play games on the Internet

Last night hubby & I went to dinner at the boss’s house.  During dinner, we were discussing how so many of the computer and Internet games seem to be directed at the adolescent male audience, and how few are aimed at the adolescent female audience.  They seem to be few and far between, and they are hard to find!

After dinner his adolescent daughter offered to show me one of the few websites that she found that is aimed at the teen and tween girls.  We looked at it for a while and then when back to join the adults to play board games with them.

Pot bellied pet pig loose on campus

The local news reports that a pet pot bellied pig has slipped away from its owners and has made itself at home at Colby College.  No one has claimed ownership of the pig, and no one has been able to catch it.  I imagine it will be fat and happy until winter, when it will wish it had a warm place to sleep!  Until then, he will probably elude capture!  The full story can be read at http://morningsentinel.mainetoday.com/news/local/5083242.html.
