I’m going to help my hubby lose weight – if he REALLY wants to

Well, tonight when my hubby gets home from work, I’m going to be ready to talk with him about whether or not he wants to lose some weight.  There is a website by Weight Loss Diet Help that I’ve been looking at this morning to see what kind of weight loss tips they have that I can pass on to my hubby.

The site lists and reviews and compares several of the leading weight loss programs, including Medifast, Nutrisystem, South Beach Diet and Weight Watchers.  The website also offers discounts and coupons for the different programs.  I have several friends who have had really good luck losing weight with the Weight Watchers program, and I know that there are places around here that have Weight Watcher support meetings, so I might suggest my hubby look into that if he thinks support groups are the answer.

Anyway, what I liked even better about the site is that it had a lot of articles related to weight loss.  I enjoyed reading the weight loss myths article – basically because it validated what I’ve known (and told hubby) all along.  However, there was also an article about high fructose corn syrup that gave me information that I did NOT know about.  So, I am glad to have found the website, I have learned something new today!

Of course he’s gaining weight

My hubby has been gaining a lot of weight lately.  He has been fussing at me because he thinks that I’ve done something different to the laundry to make his clothes shrink, but the truth is that he has gained quite a bit of weight.  I have worked very hard to make sure that the house is full of nutritious food.  Very few high-calorie/high fat/high sodium food items are anywhere to be found in this house.  I’ve been telling him that his metabolism must be slowing down, which will increase one’s weight and suggested that he either cut back on his caloric intake or exercise a little bit more if the weight is bothering him.

Well, I just went out to his car to look for something, and what did I discover?  A back seat full of fast food wrappers, french fries and burgers wrappers, empty potato chip bags, empty cookie bags, empty candy boxes, and empty milk shake cups.  No wonder he’s gaining weight!  He’s filling up on junk food every chance he gets when he’s not at home!  If he’s going to eat like this, I’m not going to listen to him fuss about gaining weight!  I guess it’s time I had a little chat with him about this!
