Country Music makes me think of home

Growing up we listened to a lot of Country Music at home, and I still enjoy listening to it here in New England.  I’m not sure who my favorite performer is, I think it is a toss up between Tim McGraw and Garth Brooks.  From time to time I like to read about the Country Music News and look up Country Music Lyrics on the countrymusicperformers.com website.

Who would steal a shark?

I was reading on the Reuters website that a rare shark in a British aquarium was stolen.  The aquarium had a breeding pair of catsharks, the female had birthed six baby sharks earlier in the year.  Someone broke into the aquarium and stole the female.

Why on earth would someone steal a shark?  The police suspect that a ransom demand is forthcoming.  I wonder if this kind of shark is supposed to be some kind of rare Japanese delicacy and ended up on someones dinner plate!

Reviewing cheap web hosting

My niece was asking me to help her find a cheap hosting service for the website that she wants to create.  So we went online together and found a site called webhostinggeeks.com that provides a reviewing service of cheap web hosting services.  They rank what they consider the best ten cheap web hosting services.  They rank them by the best value and price, but they also consider reliability, key features, bonus features, customer support, user feedbacks, hosting awards, user-friendliness, and uptime when ranking the services.  What I like about this review site is that on the left of the page are dozens of different categories (like best budget hosting or hosts by speed etc.) you can click on to see which of the services fall into that specific category.

New computer

A few days ago I got up in the morning was surprised to find the computer turned off.  I turned on the computer and went to make myself a cup of tea while it was booting up.  Well, I ended up doing two or three other things before I got to my computer.  When I got back to it, I discovered that it hadn’t booted up yet!  So I tried again, and went and fed and dressed the baby.  To make a long story short, somehow my computer had crashed.  So I took it to the local computer repair shop.  Later in the day they called me to tell me that the mother board was fried, and they recommended that I just buy a new computer, since this one was so old.  Thank goodness I have always had a great backup procedure, and had done a complete backup just the night before when I went to bed!

So I trotted down to the computer store and purchased a new computer, complete with all the bells and whistles.  Its bigger, better, faster than my old one.  I even bought a new wireless mouse because everybody raves about them.  It’s taken a few days to get all of my software and data transferred in between everything else that I have to do every day.  So far it’s working fine.  One thing nice about this new computer is that it is faster than the old one.  I’ve only had it a couple of days, but it really works well!

Reviewing websites

There is a website called talkreviews.com that does Site Reviews of any website. They review from the Top Websites down to little personal blogs like mine. You can go to the website and type in an URL and see details about that site, such as the number of links that go to the site, and the google page rank of the site. You can also see comments people have made about the site, meaning whether they like it or not, etc. You can find your own site if you want to and see if anyone has said anything about your site! Pretty cool, huh?
