My hubby drives an older model Subaru. This summer we’ve noticed that the auto air conditioning is struggling. It may be time for a new ac compressor. Two years ago we noticed that the air conditioning clutch was making strange noises and we took it to the local Subaru dealer. They said we needed a new air conditioner and it was going to cost almost $1000 to replace it. They said that the air conditioner itself would cost over $600. Well, I just looked up a new Subaru air conditioner at the auto ac parts website discountacparts.com and found that I can buy a new one for under $400. You can go to that website to buy a lot of different car makes and models air conditioning compressors.
So I am going to be giving some thought as to buying the parts myself and then taking them to the shop and telling them to install it.

I was reading the Time.com website and just found out that Estelle Getty, the little old lady dearly known as “Sophia” on the television series “The Golden Girls” died at the age of 84 earlier today.  I was very surprised to learn that she was only 84!  The makeup artists did such a good job of making her look older than she was – she was only in her 60s when she was making the television show, playing the part of a woman in her 80’s.  I don’t know the cause of her death, only that she died today.  She will be missed.
