A great deal on mailing labels

Vistaprint.com is a business supply website that I’ve known about for several years.  For some reason every now and then I “rediscover” it.  I SHOULD “bookmark” it as a “favorite” because it really is a good site.  Several years ago I used it to get a free self-inking rubber stamp that I used to endorse the back of my checks “for deposit only” and my account number.  That saved me a lot of hand-endorsing checks, and I loved it!  They still have a lot of great free offers on their website – free pens, free notepads, free t-shirts, free decals…. and several other free things that they offer.

I like free!  Free is good!  They are running some specials on different items right now; with the special discount code of “Labels 50″ you can get a 50% discount on Mailing labels.  I can attest to the good quality of their items, that rubber stamp that I got for free never did wear out – I used it for years, until I changed banks and got a new account number.

If you go to their website and click on their link to Free Products you can order a Free Sample Portfolio that they will send you so that you can get a good idea of the high quality that their products really are.  You will be pleasantly surprised!

Conflict between Russia and Georgia

I was surprised to hear that Russia and Georgia seem to be at war with each other.  I’m a little confused over the entire thing, I don’t understand the reason for the conflict.  I just heard that they are fighting with tanks and bombs and I don’t understand it at all.  I hope to gain better understanding of it soon.   Why can’t people get along?????

Vision care

I got an email from Ursula, my friend in San Jose last night.  She tells me that she has been having more problems with her vision lately and has finally decided to look into having some Lasik surgery done to correct her vision.  She’s been putting it off because she’s afraid that it will hurt and that she won’t be able to hold still for the procedure.  He eye doctor convinced her to go to a Laser Vue Eye Clinic for a consultation.  They have an office that does Lasik in Silicon Valley near where she lives.  They have four other locations; Walnut Creek, San Francisco, and Santa Rosa.

Trip to the animal shelter

With a new little one in the house, I thought it might be nice to have a puppy or a kitten to grow up together, so I went to the local animal shelter.  When I got to the animal shelter, I didn’t get halfway down the first row when I spotted the cutest little puppy with floppy ears and droopy eyes.  I thought “what a cute little puppy.”  My next thought was “what a lot of work.”  But I figured that I’m home, and I have the time to train it.  So I’m going to have to go to the pet store to buy the supplies that I need, such as a puppy bed, collar and leash, and some puppy training papers.  And of course, a new name tag!  By the time I got home, I was exhausted.  Evidently the puppy was, too, because she went right to sleep in her new bed!
