Men’s Cartier watches

My hubby’s boss loves Cartier watches. Last night we went over to his house for dinner and he was showing us his collection of men’s cartier watches. He had quite a large collection! I could see that he was very proud of his collection. I suppose that having so many luxury watches is a big status symbol to him. He was trying to convince me to buy one for my hubby’s Christmas present this coming Christmas. I told him that he would have to give my hubby a huge Christmas bonus if he thought we could buy a luxury watch like that!

He told me to go to the thewatchery.com website to see the great collection of watches that they sell. The Watchery company sells luxury watches at discounted prices. They guarantee that the watches are genuine, with serial numbers, and are not refurbished watches. I was quite surprised to see the huge selection of luxury watches that are available on the market!

I spent a very long time browsing that website, fascinated by the beautiful, very expensive watches. They are currently running a promotion where some of their watches that are marked with a special Icon that looks like a gift wrapped box are being offered at up to 80% off; some are even free!

Men’s clothes

I’ve started shopping for my own clothes in the men’s department.  I like wearing men’s cargo pants because they have so many great (and deep) pockets!  Lugging a baby around is difficult, you have to lug a diaper bag in addition to your own purse and the baby too!  So I’ve started wearing men’s cargo pants and loading up the pockets with my personal stuff so I can forgo having to bring my purse with me!  I love them!  I may never go back to wearing women’s pants again!

Neighborhood bad dog

I’ve been having trouble with one of the neighbor’s dogs recently, coming into my yard while I’m puttering around in my flower garden.  The dog comes within a couple of feet of me and bristles his mane and starts to bark and growl at me.  This is a large Newfoundland dog, and it is quite scary to be on my knees in the flower bed weeding and suddenly be confronted by this large dog!  I have spoken to my neighbor several times about it, asking them to keep the dog in their own yard but my requests have fallen on deaf ears.  They just tell me that their dog is perfectly harmless and wouldn’t hurt a flea.  Of course when I am face to face with a snarling dog that weighs more than I do I really don’t feel that the dog is perfectly harmless at all!  I’ve reminded my neighbors that their is a leash law and that letting their dog run loose around the neighborhood is against the law, and that only made them angry.

I’ve called the police and the animal control officer a few times, and they have done nothing for me at all.  By the time they arrive the dog is gone.  The police say they can’t do anything until the dog actually bites me!  I’m not happy about that at all!

My hubby has offered to buy me some Mace pepper spray to use on the dog if I feel threatened in the future, so I’ve been looking around for what product would be appropriate.

I found a mace pepper spray that I want to buy at the planetmace.com website that is a pepper spray they say is for use against aggressive dogs.  So I am going to order some of that to bring with me when I am out in the garden so if the dog comes around to bother me again he will get a face full of pepper spray!

Ice cream sales seem to be recession-proof

A long time ago I saw a television show that was talking about what businesses do well during recessions. I remember the people talking about the best businesses to be in during a recession are the ice cream business and the gourmet cat food business. It seems that when people find money is tight they spend more on the “little luxuries” and less on the “big luxuries.” They feel the need to have some kind of self-gratification and ice cream does just that. I’m not sure why people spoil their pets more during a recession by buying gourmet cat food, but I suppose it is possible that people are eating it themselves! I’ve seen several television stories about people that are having a hard time making ends meet eating pet food instead of people food because it is so cheap. That is a sad thing to think about, but I know it happens!

Anyway, I was reading the local newspaper online this morning and saw an article about how a local ice cream business is expanding because business is good for them.  That’s what sparked this whole blog post, thinking about how some businesses do well in bad times.
