Bargain eyeglasses on the Internet

I know a lot of people who wear eyeglasses.  Most of the people that I know that wear them just don’t want to have to bother with the routine of taking contact lenses in and out, or cleaning them, or go to the expense of buying disposable contacts.  I’ve heard that the ZenniOptical website is a really great place to buy eyeglasses over the Internet.  Their frames start as low as $8 a pair!

Their company has even been reviewed by the popular consumer advocate Clark Howard radio show, the host claims to have bought some eyeglasses (and several other staff members from the show) from them and is delighted with the good service, inexpensive price, and good quality of the frames.

ZenniOptical has also been featured on the Fox News TV show, as one of the best consumer bargains around.  They sell sunglasses, as well as progressive lenses, bifocals, or single lenses.  They claim that the reason that they can sell glasses so cheaply is because they sell only their own manufactured frames directly to the consumer.  They use no middlemen, and have a very low advertising budget.

It’s time for me to get a new pair of glasses myself, so I’m going to check them out too!  I’m getting pretty tired of spending hundreds of dollars for a pair of frames!

Tragic error

I was reading a news story today on the Time.com website about a New York police officer who committed suicide today.  This really is a very sad story.  He committed suicide because he caused the death of another man by ordering another police officer to fire a stun gun, which resulted in the death of the man who was shot with the stun gun.

Upon reading the story, it is evident that this was a very bad judgement call on the police officer, to have ordered the stun gun to be fired, and it truly is a tragedy for all families involved.
